Getting started in the World of Kung Fu is easy! Follow this guide to show you how!

1. First, download the game from any of the links on the downloads page.

It is a good idea to check and make sure that your downloaded files are not corrupt. This can easily be done by checking the MD5 hash value.

Download WinND5 (only 249KB). WinMD5Free is a tiny utility to compute MD5 hash value for files, and it will tell you if your files have been corrupted.

Use this program to check your game client download. Simply run the WinMD5Free program, browse to find "WoKFSetup.exe", and copy and paste the MD5 checksum from this page for the game client and click verify.

Users with slower internet connections may be helped if they use a download manager program to assist the downloading process.

We recommend: Internet Download Manager v5.12 - The best way to handle your downloads and increase download speeds.

2. Install the game to your computer. Make sure you have enough room! WoKF is 1.37GB after it is installed.

3. Once the game is installed, you need to create a game account. Go to https://passport.worldofkungfu.com/ or click the "Join Now" button on the main website.

4. Ok! Great! Now, click the button called "Sign Up for Free!"

5. Input all the information. Some fields are required. If the name you wish to use for your account is available, a green check will appear next to the text box. If there is an X, please select another name. Please note: This is not the name of your game character, just your account which can have up to 3 characters on it.

6. After you input the information, you should see this message:

7. You will then be taken to this screen:

From this screen, you can purchase points, activate Novice Cards and change all of your account settings. More on this later, let's check out the game!

8. Start up the game by clicking the icon on your desktop, or find the game on your Start menu, and let's go! The game should automatically begin patching itself up to the current version.

9. After the game has patched, you'll be taken to a login screen. Input the username and password from the account you made here.

10. Create a character using the Character Creation Interface. For more information about each class and their Kung Fu skills, click here.

11. Start playing the World of Kung Fu!

Feel free to ask any GMs in the game for a Novice Card! These codes can be added to your account to give your character some Item Mall items to start you out with.
